Dear reprobate: I would like to make a few comments on your post. I believe there are different interpretations in the Bible concerning the word “reprobate”. The Bible says a person can be given over to a “reprobate mind”: this is a mind that is void of judgment. It does not mean that that person is without hope of salvation. Reprobate definition, a depraved, unprincipled, or wicked person: a drunken reprobate. See more.

Second, a reprobate is a person who has gone so far in their rejection and into sin in which he or she is unmoved by the Holy Spirit. A reprobate doesn’t want to be bothered by the Lord God Almighty (El Shaddai) and He in-turn accommodates them by turning them over to their reprobate mind or the ability to do as they want or desire of the flesh. He practiced sorcery, consulted mediums and spirits, and did “much evil in the sight of the LORD” (2 Chronicles ). He even set up a carved image in the house of God (2 Chronicles ). He seduced Judah to do more evil than the nations who were before him (2 Chronicles ).

Reprobate definition: If you describe someone as a reprobate, you mean that they behave in a way that is not | Meaning, pronunciation, translations and examples. reprobate depraved, unprincipled, or wicked person: a drug-dealing reprobate Not to be confused with: approbate – to approve officially: approbate a legal matter reprobate scoundrel; wastrel; rogue; outcast: The ex-con is a worthless reprobate. Not to be confused with: reprobation – disapproval, condemnation or censure; rejection: She expressed her.
